The Westin in The East
While the time goes by and you realize you were sitting in front of your computer and get some work done, many people just lie awake and relax to just either watch a movie, read a book, or enjoying the softness and the fluffiness of a bed in a famous hotel room. They say working too much without taking a break ever once in a while will make you go crazy (except maybe if you love your job so much) and short-tempered. I live in Jakarta and to be honest i'm fed up with the traffic and one of the way to refresh yourself is stay at a luxury hotel sometimes.
Westin Hotel located in a strategist spot of Kuningan really caught my attention with it's tall building called The Westin. The hotel is on the higher level of the building (about 50ish) so you can really see the cityscape at night and drifting into the beautiful night lights around.
Great lobby and reception really gives the luxury feel with wooden decor and gold lighting paired with comfortable lounge. The floor covered with what looks like an expensive soft carpet and it's really clean; at least that's what I saw. Great sofa and squishy pillows to hug and squish when you got nothing to worry about except the fact that it's in a public space.
You can enjoy the lounge calm ambiance while waiting for someone or just to step back from your thoughts; Leaves decal on the wall makes the space more open and fresh. From the height, you can see around the city and observe what you usually not see.
One of the must-try experience while you stay at Westin is "High Tea" time. They got patisserie and high quality tea for your picky taste-buds. Pinky sight dominated the cakes podium and gives off the warm and sweet thingy; All of them undoubtedly looks great and cute at the same time. The mini cakes was served cold and within them are a bowl of dry-ice submerged in water which release foggy effects to release a cold and fresh looks on them.
High-Tea time didn't end like that, there was actually another plate of bread based bites which taste salty to balance the sweetness of the gateau. They were serve on a flat rectangle shaped plate which looks like a wooden plank but actually it's a more hard, durable material; The plate was black and looks really classy and at the same time make the color of the snacks popped more.
One word that come to mind when seeing the bedroom is "This is so cool" and I was standing there in awe. The next big thing is I then realized that the room was actually 2 bedrooms connected together by a connecting-door. Hotel ambiance reeks all over the place and I really loved it; Perfect lighting also crafts a relaxing, calm condition. There are 2 type of bed you can choose either 1 King size bed or 2 Single bed; In my opinion, the single bed was actually big and spacious too.
They give you a lot of pillows to sunk in, one high-class office desk, huge windows, coffee maker, and big television. The room is big enough for you to gather in a spot and playing games. The room has superb control of things in just 1 panel, like the lighting; you can easily adjust the light just as you wanted from just a panel beside your bed. There's another control station like the air conditioner remote and blinds panel to set the right amount of natural light that comes in to your room. When you first walk in, you'll find a chamber in which you change your shoes and one automatic flashlight is placed just above the cupboard and you can easily reach it in emergency.
I love spacious bathroom, especially the one with enormous number of amenities offered and separating glass for each chamber. Westin hotel has certainly comfortable bathroom I have ever seen; they consist of a shower, one toilet, one bathtub and one main room compartment with big mirror and drawers containing many bathroom-related items you can use for cleaning purpose (Bathing of course). On the side of the bathtub, a glass wall was placed facing the bedroom; The glass wall itself is equipped with rolling curtain which controller is located near the bathtub and it was really handy!
Big towels and mats were prepared for drying purposes and to avoid wet floor. The toilet got a built-in sprinkles to clean your bottom and not a water spray that usually placed at home. They got cold water and warm water depends on your preferences and a hairdryer as a complement.

Westin got its own buffet restaurant called "Seasonal Tastes" which offers a great range of food from Indian food, European, Japanese, Korean and many more. The taste is somewhat good, but one of the best is their sushi and Indian food which made with a lot of spices giving them rich flavor. They present a great dining atmosphere with friendly service and everything is so clean that you can almost see them sparkle.
Dessert time is also well prepared. they got many choices from cakes, bread, ice-variant, gelato, meatbun, fondue, etc. They even offers fresh fruits and served on ice to make it stay cool and fresh all the time. What really got me is the hedgehog shaped sweet red-bean bun which is really cute; Too cute for me to take a bite I had to take a picture of it first.

This hotel honestly was one of the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Jakarta. They still got many rooms for improvement but seeing them like this surely made me think they will make it and be a better and better in the future. Standing ovations to Westin Hotel for their excellent service and facilities!!
After all the things I enjoyed on this hotel, I definitely thought that maybe we really need to take a break every once in a while at a hotel so we cam manage our stress and do things better.
Stay in the tavern for it's already raining season and you don't want to get sick playing in the rain do you?
